Solvation is committed to reducing our environmental impact as an integral part of our business strategy and daily operations. Our Environmental Policy applies across service delivery, procurement, and internal operations.
Client & Project Engagement
We evaluate the environmental impacts of our client engagements to ensure our work does not adversely affect the natural environment or the communities that depend on it.
Our approach includes:
- Assessing engagements based on project size, duration, environmental connection, and risk level
- Documenting our most significant engagements annually
- Implementing mitigation actions where needed
- Tracking effectiveness for continuous improvement
Responsible Procurement
We align our purchasing decisions with our environmental values by:
- Reviewing our most material procurement decisions annually
- Evaluating sustainability attributes such as recyclability and environmental certifications
- Adjusting practices to enhance environmental alignment
Internal Sustainability Practices
We commit to:
- Complying with all applicable environmental regulations
- Avoiding single-use disposable products
- Purchasing recycled-content and environmentally preferable office supplies
- Recycling all supported materials and identifying channels for hard-to-recycle items
- Ensuring electronics and appliances meet Energy Star or High Efficiency standards
- Sourcing locally whenever feasible
Continuous Improvement
We continuously identify, prevent, and mitigate environmental risks through due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and periodic policy review.
Community Service
We believe service strengthens communities and deepens our understanding of the challenges they face.
Solvation provides paid volunteer time to employees contributing their time and skills to approved 501(c)(3) organizations.
Eligibility
- All employees
- Part-time employees and independent contractors regularly scheduled for 20+ hours per week
Our Commitment
- Up to 16 paid volunteer hours per employee per year
- A target of at least 16 hours of community service per employee annually
We encourage volunteerism that aligns with our mission and supports vulnerable communities.
Charitable Giving
Solvation financially supports nonprofit and charitable organizations through ongoing giving practices aligned with our values.
Our Focus Areas
We aim to uplift vulnerable communities, including:
- Refugees and displaced individuals
- Individuals experiencing homelessness
- Veterans transitioning to civilian life
- Children and families facing hunger and food insecurity
Our Financial Commitments
- Donate at least 1% of annual revenues to charitable organizations
- Match employee donations up to $250 (or local equivalent) annually
- Provide up to 16 paid volunteer hours per year
- Commit to a minimum of 120 total community service hours annually
Impact Goals
Through our charitable giving, we seek to:
- Enable at least one veteran to secure housing through HUD–VASH or Veterans Village programming
- Help at least one individual move from homelessness into supportive housing and support additional individuals working toward long-term stability
- Provide shelter or WASH support to displaced populations and contribute to refugee livelihoods or skills training
- Provide several thousand meals to children and families in North Texas and support outreach connecting neighbors to SNAP and other nutrition benefits
Giving Criteria
Company donations are directed to organizations that:
- Are duly registered nonprofit entities, including U.S. organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and Indian Section 8 Companies, Trusts, or Societies holding valid 12A/12AB and 80G registrations, as applicable.
- Maintain a minimum three-star rating from Charity Navigator (or a comparable, recognized nonprofit evaluation authority, where applicable).
Workforce Development
At Solvation, we believe opportunity should not be limited by non-linear career paths. As part of our commitment to social impact, we actively invest in workforce development initiatives that expand access, strengthen retention, and support long-term career growth.
Empowering Returning Mothers
We intentionally recruit and support mothers returning to the workforce after a career break. Recognizing the barriers many returning professionals face, we provide structured pathways designed to promote confidence, skill relevance, and long-term success.
Our approach includes:
- Partnerships with re-entry platforms to expand inclusive hiring
- Structured onboarding and tailored “re-onboarding” support
- Mentorship and peer buddy programs
- Flexible, remote-first work design with phased return options
- 30-60-90-day development check-ins
We track hiring, retention, and participant feedback to continuously improve outcomes and ensure lasting impact.
